Since 1994, the Israeli Opera in the Performing Arts Center in Tel Aviv is an established institution in the cultural life of the Israeli metropolis.

The Israeli ambassador Yakov Hadas-Handelsman and his wife Ita Hadas-Handelsman had a reception of the Friends of the Israeli Opera loaded to the diplomatic mission to Charlottenburg. "I want to make the Israeli culture known in Germany," the ambassador said of the auspicious occasion. "And I love the opera and especially Strauss operetta." (Berliner Morgenpost)
